Vivek Singh is the Joint Managing Director of Procam International, India’s leading Sports IP creators.
Vivek, with his brother Anil Singh, co-founded Procam in 1988 with a vision to provide a more holistic spend to the advertising rupee and a burning desire to ameliorate the prevailing professional standards for sportsmen. Today, Procam International has promoted and conducted world events, which have elicited player participation of the highest caliber, as well as huge public interest.
Vivek has endeavoured to focus on sporting disciplines that do not get the importance they deserve in India. Procam has successfully promoted events such as the P1 Powerboat Racing, Mahindra Squash Challenge, ATP Challenger Tennis, the Squash World Open, WWE, Asian Beach Volleyball, World Body Building, Rugby India, besides National level events in tennis, soccer, horse racing and golf.
An economics graduate from Bombay University, with a profound business sense and punctiliousness, Vivek is a respected leader in the sports management and events industry. He was India’s first elected board member of the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS), the apex body for distance running.
Today, the road races promoted by Procam have been the catalyst for a road running revolution in India. They have pioneered a growing wave of health, fitness, community pride and giving.
The Tata Mumbai Marathon, the Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon, the Tata Consultancy Services World 10K in Bengaluru and Tata Steel World 25K Kolkata are four of the most prestigious distance running events in the world, all proud to have their origins in India, emanating from the Procam stable. This has established Procam International as the leading sports events creator in India. Its professionalism, attention to detail and dedication has won it the faith of its sponsors and partners.
As an individual, Vivek loves the outdoors. He swims, cycles, and runs as often as possible. He has run the Athens Classic Marathon in 2010, an event that marked the 2500th anniversary of the original run by Pheidippides, from marathon to Athens. He has also participated in a number of half marathon and 10k events.
Vivek derives maximum satisfaction through opportunities that help bring change in people’s lifestyles and mindsets, via sport.
He is a devotee of H.H Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and the ‘Art of living’ is a way of life for him.
