Tarun Jha is the Head of Marketing at ŠKODA AUTO India, and is responsible for Brand and Product Strategy, Communications, Media, Digital, Customer Experience, Retail Marketing and Events.
He has been with the brand ŠKODA AUTO since 2008, including 3 years at the headquarters in Prague, Czech Republic, as an International Marketing Consultant, responsible for Brand Stewardship and Consulting with markets in Asia-Pacific, Middle-East, Africa and Northern Europe.
After getting a Masters Degree in Business Administration, Tarun started his career in Advertising with Mudra Communications and subsequently worked with Ogilvy & Mather. After a few years in Advertising, he shifted to the Consumer Electronics and White Goods sector and then went on to spend 3 wonderful years at Mahindra & Mahindra, where he fell in love with Automotive Marketing. He joined ŠKODA AUTO in 2008 and has been with the brand for almost 14 years now.
Tarun speaks multiple languages and dialects and believes that his strength lies in making friends easily. His interests are Poetry, Languages, Medieval European Art and Architecture, Literature and Travel. His life’s mantra is ‘listen and learn’ and derives maximum pleasure from teaching and mentoring. Currently he enjoys being a guest lecturer and visiting faculty at the top Business and Management Schools in India and is on the Jury panel of major Marketing and Advertising Awards, including Effies, Emvies, Agency of the Year and Cannes Junior.
Tarun lives in Mumbai with his wife, who is a brand strategist and two school going daughters.
