Preeti Rao is currently Segment Marketing Leader at Dell EMC India. In this role, Preeti is responsible for Enterprise & Commercial segment marketing, planning and campaigns to deliver awareness (brand), consideration (pipeline) and conversion (revenue). She will play a collaborative role in establishing Dell EMC as an end-end infrastructure solutions provider via thought leadership events/activities and Consultant/ISV engagement. With 18 years of professional experience, Preeti has a keen understanding of Sales & Marketing, majorly in the IT industry. Her proficiency lies in managing both strategic and tactical missions from producing a strategy to enabling execution.
In the past, Preeti has worked with IBM for more than a decade, responsible for Marketing Communications and Citizenship function with experience across services, software & hardware. In IBM, she was positioned as Market Segment Manager in the Systems & Technology Group managing strategy, marketing programs & Channels marketing for System x (x86 servers) & PureSystems. Prior to that Preeti was heading integrated marketing communications at IBM with extensive experience in driving brand advertising & demand generation campaigns for services, software solutions & hardware business for India / SA.
She began her career at Bridgestone ACC India Ltd. as Deputy District Sales Manager Sales Manager for two years and was the only woman seller in the tyre industry at that time. Preeti holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from Institute of Modern Management, Calcutta and a Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) from the University of Calcutta.
